Tupperware Brands Corporation (United States)

Board Member Nominee

The U.N. SDGs identified by WDO as focus areas for 2017-2019 are perfectly in alignment with the everyday values of Tupperware Corporation. I would like to highlight, especially, SDG3 (Good Health/ Well-being), SDG9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG13 (Climate Action). At Tupperware, we have championed nutrition and healthy living; and we have applied leading-edge innovation to develop and manufacture new product solutions for food conservation. This has led to more sustainable consumption by reducing waste, and more environmental sensitivity by developing highly durable and long-lasting products. Much of our work is accomplished through university projects and industry relationships.

I have had the privilege of leading corporate design and R&D teams, first for General Electric, and now for Tupperware Worldwide. With design centers in the USA, Belgium, & Singapore, we launch new products in over 100 countries worldwide. Having global perspective and understanding of WDO as a participant and past board member, I ask for your support to allow me to contribute to the new mission of WDO; to engage WDO members and the world design community to collaborate and utilize the power of Design as a tool for social improvement.
