Board Member Nominee

I’m honored to be nominated by Samsung Electronics. Samsung has been a long-standing member of WDO for more than 20 years, and I feel that it is time we communicate more about the value of design with the design world, to make a positive impact on our wellbeing and sustainability. If elected, I hope to serve for better contribution to WDO as followings:

1) Stronger engagement in cultural diversity
Collaborating with global diversity and finding the best execution in each cultural context are the key drivers of design-led innovation. There are Samsung global design offices, including India, China and Brazil, which could be a gateway to creating meaningful impact to global society.

2) Empowering WDO members
I would strive to enhance the service of WDO membership, by inviting our members to be more engaged and committed to the activities and values that WDO brings to the society. Creating more tangible benefits for the existing members will be crucial.

3) Extending the outreach of WDO beyond design industry
The value of design needs to be shared not only within design communities but in every sector. By collaborating with multi-disciplinary leaders, and I truly believe that we could bring ourselves to be the catalyst to change the world to achieve the UN’s Sustainability goals.
