It has been a pleasure to work with the current members of the WDO board during the past two years.

The U.N. SDGs identified by WDO as key focus areas remain perfectly in alignment with the everyday values of Tupperware Corporation, especially in the areas of well-being (SDG3), industry and innovation (SDG9), and responsible consumption and production (SDG12).

At Tupperware, we remain very consumer centric and environment conscious, focusing every day on nutrition and healthy living; and we apply leading-edge innovation and technologies to develop and manufacture new product solutions for food conservation.

This has led to more sustainable consumption by reducing waste, and more environmental sensitivity by developing highly durable and long-lasting products with newly created renewable materials. Much of our work is accomplished through university projects and industry relationships, and I have the privilege of leading a global corporate R&D center, which influences the launch of new products in over 100 countries worldwide.

There is still a lot of work to accomplish for our organization, and I ask for your support to allow me to continue the mission of WDO; to engage WDO members and the world design community in “designing for a better world.”

David Kusuma is Vice President, Global R&D, at Tupperware Brands Corporation.
