Statement of intent

I intend to work toward enhancing the legacy of our organization. Icsid/WDO was founded in 1957 and from the beginning has worked in building bridges between different countries, cultures, policies, idioms and behaviors.

My historical skills could be useful in the in-depth analysis of what Icsid has been, but more importantly, in envisioning the future of this extraordinary organization.

A second axis of my work concerns the development of the World Design Library, a project started in Torino in 2021. The Library responds in particular to the need to aggregate in a single physical and digital place the culture of design in its broadest sense. To provide a city with a place of study and research for those who work in the world of design in all its forms. It will be a place of public use and, of course, an international reference for in-depth study and research. We are developing a network of libraries that will be located in the World Design Capitals: from Torino to Seoul, from Helsinki to Cape Town, Taipei, Mexico City, Lille and Valencia.

The first WDL will open in Italy soon. Let’s work together to spread the design culture!
