DESCRIPTION:The Luxembourg Design Festival will take place from 13 to 16 November 2025. Building on the success of the European Design Festival 2023\, this new event will feature a rich and varied programme\, including conferences\, workshops\, exhibitions\, immersive experiences\, and much more. Several iconic venues across the City of Luxembourg will host activities\, with the LUCA – Luxembourg Center for Architecture serving as the festival’s headquarters.  \nAs part of the festival\, the Luxembourg Design Awards\, celebrating the excellence of Luxembourg design\, will be held on Thursday\, 13 November 2025. This prestigious ceremony will officially kick off the festival. The first Seoul Design Festival was held in 2002. DESCRIPTION:London Design Festival was launched by Sir John Sorrell CBE and Ben Evans CBE in 2003. Building on London’s existing design activity\, their concept was to create an annual event that would promote the city’s creativity\, drawing in the country’s greatest thinkers\, practitioners\, retailers and educators to a deliver an unmissable celebration of design. The launch of the first Festival took place at Bloomberg on 25 March 2003\, with a show of support from design\, education\, government and London organisations. 22 years later\, this vision remains ever strong.

SUMMARY:What Design Can Do Mexico 2024
DESCRIPTION:This year\, WDCD Mexico delves into the exploration of play\, collectivity\, and collaborative processes within design to showcase projects that address some of the world’s most urgent challenges such as climate change\, gender inequality\, economic disparity\, and the colonisation of creative thinking in an impactful way. This edition focuses on diverse initiatives and designers from different disciplines\, generations\, backgrounds\, academic formations\, and geographies. We will examine the powerful influence of design as a tool for transformation and how collaboration among various social actors gives us hope to reverse current environmental\, social\, and economic challenges. The three pillars of discussion will centre on ancestral knowledge\, exploring how to decolonize the predominant Eurocentric and patriarchal thinking in our civilization. We will also highlight voices that promote female creative thinking\, lastly\, we will analyse how circularity relates to collectivity. \nExploring play as a collective creative process\, the communal use of technology to address local and global issues\, and education as a collaborative process to better understand our contexts and differences\, creating opportunities and conditions for a cleaner\, more empathetic\, just\, and equitable world.

DESCRIPTION:The largest design festival in the Baltics opens its doors in the industrially infused Krulli Quarter (Kopli 70a\, 10412 Tallinn). Attracting over 10\,000 visitors from Estonia and abroad\, the week-long Tallinn Design Festival showcases the achievements of Estonian and international designers and initiates discussions on design’s position in today’s society. For the first time\, the main programme reaches beyond the borders of the capital to the village of Joaveski. \nThe aim this year is to demonstrate how creativity can be employed to create a better physical and social environment.
