DESCRIPTION:Survival and Evolution : Design Conference \n\n\n\nFor the first time this year\, the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP)’s Design Korea and the Seoul Design Festival have jointly organized an international conference under the theme “Survival and Evolution.” A total of seven speakers will take the stage in line with this theme. \n\n\n\nThe conference will take place on November 13\, from 10:00 to 17:00\, at COEX\, 4F\, Room 401 (Grand Conference Room).\n\n\nIt will be divided into two main sessions — Part 1: “Evolution: From Emergence to Evolution\, The Direction of Design-Led Innovation” and Part 2: “Survival: Survival Strategies and the Role of Design in a New Order.” Global leaders in AI and emerging platforms will speak the language of ’evolution‘\, while visionary designers and architects will share the wisdom of ’survival‘. DESCRIPTION:Seoul Design Festival is a design-specialized exhibition based on contents accumulated by DESIGN magazine since 1976 and networks of domestic and foreign design industry. The first Seoul Design Festival was held in 2002. Seoul Design Festival is designed to enhance design competitiveness of domestic and foreign brands by showing design trends along with corporate brands with the motto “Designer Promotion.” Also\, it has been grown into a place of exchange to support domestic designers’ expansion to the world and introduce world designers to the domestic market. \nThrough Seoul design festival\, a total of 2\,674 brands have successfully promoted their own brands and over 5\,615 designers were discovered and introduced. SUMMARY:Design Korea 2025
DESCRIPTION:‘Design Korea’ was the motto of ‘The 1st Industrial Design Promotion Competition’ held in 1999. After successfully hosting the International Council of Graphic Design Association (ICOGRADA) and the International Council of Industrial Design (ICSID)\, ‘Design Korea’ went beyond the motto to become an identity of Korean Design. And in 2003\, the 1st Design Korea\, a national design industry exposition\, began. It was held in Beijing in 2004\, followed by one in 2006 and another in 2008 in Guangzhou in the name of ‘Design Korea’. For a regionally-balanced development of design\, Design Korea was held in Incheon\, Daegu and Gwangju. It was also held as a festival to be enjoyed by all citizens. \nIn 2025\, Design Korea will celebrate its 23th anniversary.
