Montreal (Canada) – Icsid is delighted to welcome two new provisional members to the educational pillar of membership: Istituto Quasar Design University Roma (Italy) and Swiss Design Center (Switzerland).
Istituto Quasar (Design University Roma) is an industrial design, architecture and communication design school founded in 1987 as private university for high professional studies. The main aim of the school is to provide a very concrete preparation characterised by a combination of good theoretical knowledge with the practical skills required by the labour’s market.
The Swiss Design Center is located in the heart of Lausanne since 1st February 2001, and is recognized by the Swiss confederation, Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, State of Vaud, Lausanne Region and a large number of public and private institutions. Thanks to the facilities it offers, it has organized events centered on architectural exhibitions, industrial design, and pictorial design.
Icsid’s membership comprises educational, governmental, promotional and professional organisations and associations from over 50 countries, as well as design-focused corporations. Icsid members are united in their desire to advance the discipline of industrial design at an international level and create a world where design enhances our social, cultural, economic and environmental quality of life.
