Montreal (Canada) – Following member approval of a new name and direction, the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid) has hired a Montreal-based team of designers and branding specialists, Feed, to develop its new global brand and visual identity as the World Design Organization (WDO).
Founded in 1999 by Anouk Pennel and Raphaël Daudelin, Feed specializes in branding, publishing, and typeface design. Their work has been praised and published internationally.
Feed has called upon the expertise of long-time collaborator and brand strategist Marc-André Chaput, as well as Xavier Massé, co-founder of Toronto’s Relay, a marketing and brand activation consultancy based in Toronto, to undertake Icsid’s rebranding project.
A brand audit is already in the works, which will ensure the new identity is perfectly aligned with WDO’s goal of consolidating a leadership position in the industrial design community. The new brand and identity will be launched in the lead up to 29 June 2016, Word Industrial Design Day.
