Montreal (Canada) – At the latest Board Meeting in Tokyo, Japan, the Icsid Executive Board was pleased to approve the applications of nine new Members. Representing eight different countries from five different regions, these new members help further expand Icsid’s strong international representation.
It is encouraging to see this growth, particularly in light of the recuperating global economy. With four new Education Members, this pillar demonstrates the highest increase.
Alongside the 25 organisations previously approved within the 2007-2009 term, these eight new provisional Members will become ratified at the Icsid General Assembly XXVI, taking place from 26-27 November 2009 in Singapore.
