Marking its sixth edition, this year’s event brought together design leaders and thinkers from across the globe to explore the theme of Shared Signatures. Originally conceptualized in 2018 as an ode to the city of Ahmedabad, ADW 6.0 highlighted collaboration, creativity and multidisciplinary innovation, offering industry exposure, knowledge exchange and transformative experiences for the design community.

As part of their visit, WDO’s leadership also had the opportunity to attend a guided tour of the Karnavati University’s Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) campus featuring a variety of exhibitions from the school’s design departments. Several Board Members also facilitated individual student workshops.

The activities were helmed by faculty and students from UID, which stands out for its world-class design education, industry-oriented curriculum, and state-of-the-art infrastructure in an enriching space with a strong sense of community. Of the 8500+ students enrolled at Karnavati University, more than 3500 are studying design at UID.

WDO extends its thanks to Ritesh Hada, President of Karnavati University and Surojit Bose, Director of Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) Ahmedabad, for organizing this special visit.
