Seoul Design Award 2025, the global platform celebrating design for sustainability, is now inviting citizens worldwide to cast their votes for the award’s top 10 shortlisted projects. Following a rigorous evaluation by an international jury of 32 experts, the award has revealed its most inspiring works that creatively tackle today’s social, environmental, and urban challenges.

From 18 September 18 to 22 October, individuals can participate as jurors by voting online via the official Seoul Design Award website. The citizen voting will determine the Grand Prize winner, placing global voices at the heart of the decision-making process.

Why Citizen Voting Matters

These top 10 projects represent a wide spectrum of sustainable design practices — from advancing public health and equal opportunities to renewable energy solutions and community-driven urban design. By engaging citizens as co-decision makers, Seoul Design Award highlights its core philosophy: design is not only for professionals but for all, shaping a better future together.

The citizen voting is part of the award’s larger international programme, culminating in Seoul Design Award Conference & Award Ceremony on 24 October at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul. The event will gather design leaders, scholars, and citizens to share insights on sustainable living and to celebrate this year’s most impactful design solutions.

Join the Movement – Register and Vote

In addition to citizen voting, Seoul Design Award 2025 is now accepting pre-registration for the Conference & Award Ceremony. Admission is free with online pre-registration (until 20 October) and open to all citizens who wish to witness the global dialogue on sustainable design. On-site registration will also be available with a fee.
