How to Achieve Liveable and Sustainable Metropolitan Futures?

Cities are at the center of global challenges, from climate resilience to inclusive growth. Metropolitan areas in particular are shaping how these challenges are addressed at scale. In June 2026, urban leaders will come together to turn ambition into action.

Hosted by the Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC), a Metropolis associate member, the World Cities Summit (WCS) will take place in Singapore from 14–16 June 2026. Co-organized with the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), the summit will convene leaders from over 250 cities to share integrated urban solutions and forge new partnerships.

Under the theme “Liveable and Sustainable Cities: A.C.T Now!”, WCS 2026 calls on cities to Accelerate sustainable and innovative solutions, Collaborate across borders and sectors, and Transform urban systems for future generations through bold leadership and partnerships.
