The 2026 Better Design Award (BDA) is now accepting entries worldwide, offering RMB 4.1 million in prize money across 326 awards. Open to enterprises, institutions, universities, design teams, and individual designers, the competition features two main categories: Product Design and Design for Industry. Entries will be evaluated by an international jury led by WDO President Pradyumna Vyas and CAFA Professor Wang Min, based on vision, industrial applicability, people-centred value, and social relevance. Beyond recognition, winners may receive support in incubation, financing, mass production, branding, market access, and global promotion. Since its launch in 2024, the BDA has attracted over 22,000 entries from 69 countries and regions. The 2026 edition aims to transform outstanding ideas into commercially viable solutions, connect global design talent with industry, and advance design-led innovation and high-quality development.
