Statement of intent

I have been associated with Icsid/WDO since 1995 and previously served as board member (2009-11 and 2019-2021) working to promote our objectives through several events and milestones from Board Meetings to the 40th Anniversary of Icsid/UNIDO/NID Ahmedabad Declaration (2019).

As a design educator for 30+ years, I have contributed significantly to the field of industrial design, winning several awards, World Education Congress’s “100 Most Influential Directors of India (Education)” in 2016; launch of Indian Design Mark.

Currently, I am on the Board of Directors of prominent Indian companies such as Titan, (a TATA enterprise), Kirloskar Brothers, Dynamatic Technologies, where I am influencing them to consider UN SDGs in their design and manufacturing processes.

Serving this past term, I have recruited new members from India, while Indian members active through regular interactions. I served as Education Sub-Committee Chair, working towards making the education pillar activities stronger.

With my strong advisory and management experience in design promotion, policy and sustainable practices, I believe I can continue to promote WDO. If elected, I would work diligently with the Board and the President to help meet the objectives. Therefore, I seek your vote to support my election. Thank you!
