The Design Museum has dedicated special attention to emergency designs in the spheres of protective equipment, machinery or graphics linked to communication and information campaigns, projects that will become part of the Museum collection. With more than thirty initiatives, both public and private, the emphasis is on pieces such as the contributions in face masks made by fashion designers Txell Miras, Josep Abril with Opisso and Miriam Ponsa, or the Gracia Mask acetate face protection shield by Joan Ayguadé. Outstanding in the field of protective devices for use by the health services is the 3DDF equipment designed, executed and co-financed by the design studio MOS and the Aleu mask, developed by Eurecat. In clinical machinery the developments of respiratory apparatus stand out: the Angel-Y valve designed by Minnim Design, the respirator and bifurcator by Leitat or the collaborative social innovation project for open hardware OxyGEN promoted by Protofy.xyz. Other outstanding contributions include the MTS uvc robot which disinfects rooms and surfaces or the modular air management system, AMS mini, designed by FICEPS3.
