Fringe Furniture is a key forum for experimental, emerging and independent practices – over its 34 years, it has become a rite of passage for young designers and a barometer for the cutting edge of the design industry. This year, designers are encouraged to make new work in response to this year’s provocation, Bettermorphosis, but you can also exhibit work that’s already finished or new work that doesn’t respond to this theme. Designers can register work that isn’t yet finished – or even started. Provisional and sculptural works are welcome, as is any kind of object design. We want to see how designers have responded to the conditions of 2020.
