Hosted by the Economic Promotion Bureau of Shunde People’s Government of Foshan, the 32nd World Design Assembly took place online from 22-24 February 2022. Under the banner of ‘design for the unimagined’, the three-day event welcomed participants from across the globe to explore the role of design in shaping our increasingly uncertain future.
The Research and Education Forum and International Design Conference comprised the first two days of programming, while WDO’s 32nd General Assembly took place on the third and final day of programming. This was the organization’s first completely online assembly in the organization’s 65-year history.
Through a series of thematic presentations and discussions, the event offered unique insight and perspective on how both designers and non-designers alike can come together to and share perspectives on the role of design in the face of uncertainty and how to reimagine a better future for all.
