“Circular Cities” is a conference with professionals from multi-perspective fields, both domestic and international, gather to discuss “circulation” as a key concept to shape future cities, culture, and economy. Following a trial event in the winter of 2023, the first full-scale conference will take place in Kyoto in the fall of 2024.

In today’s world, every field is undergoing redefinition, and we believe the keyword is “circulation.” This event was initiated to bring together diverse experts to discuss and create solutions from multiple perspectives. The 2023 trial event featured sessions with architects, thatch roof artisans, agricultural, fishing, and forestry professionals, farmers market operators, restaurant owners, compost advisors, apparel brand owners, startup founders focusing on natural burials, and contemporary artists.
