The Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) is proud to present a master lecture by internationally acclaimed lighting designer Mr Tino KWAN, marking the launch of our newly initiated series, “Visionaries: in Dialogue with HKDI Design Leaders”. This series will feature prominent figures from the design industry, each sharing their unique insights and professional experiences, with Mr KWAN as the inaugural speaker.

“Dialogue with Tino Kwan” will take place on 28 January 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Lecture Theatre A001 at HKDI and online, offering an inspiring exploration of light and space. Renowned for his groundbreaking work in luxury hotels, Michelin restaurants, superyachts and architectural landmarks, Mr KWAN has redefined the possibilities of light and space on a global scale. Recognised as the DFA World’s Outstanding Chinese Designer 2024, Mr KWAN has been praised for pioneering innovative approaches in lighting design and for cultivating future talent. Through his transformative use of light, he has become a leader in the field by setting new standards in the industry.
