At the iF DESIGN AWARD NIGHT on 15 May 2023 at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin, over 1,500 guests from 42 countries celebrated the winners of the iF DESIGN AWARD 2023.

  • For the 69th time, the top achievements from all relevant design disciplines – from product, communication, packaging and service design, architecture and interior design to UI, UX and professional concept concept – were honored.
  • An ultimate test for design quality that stands for itself: iF DESIGN AWARD 2023 Gold as the highest distinction for the 75 most outstanding designs.

The “Who’s Who of international design” met in Berlin on 15 May 2023 to celebrate the glamorous presentation of the iF DESIGN AWARD 2023 with all award winners. The legendary Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin provided the festive setting for honoring the world’s best design achievements. On the largest theatre stage in the world, the 75 most outstanding products and projects were specially honored with the highest iF distinction, the iF DESIGN AWARD 2023 Gold. iF Design CEO Uwe Cremering and TV presenter Katrin Müller-Hohenstein presented the coveted iF Gold sculpture – and the approximately 1,500 guests from business, politics and the media fromon 42 nations celebrated and networked until late into the night.

With almost 11,000 entries from 56 nations, the iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the largest and most renowned design competitions in the world. A group of 133 independent, international, diversely composed design experts awarded the valuable design label in a two-stage jury process. A total of 2,104 participants from 47 countries were honored with the iF DESIGN AWARD 2023.

The iF DESIGN AWARD 2023 has been awarded in these nine disciplines:

• Product design

• Packaging design

• Architecture

• User experience (UX)

• Professional concept

• Communication design

• Service design

• Interior architecture

• User interface (UI)

Uwe Cremering, CEO of iF International Forum Design GmbH, who is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the iF Design Institution this year, thanked the international design community: “It is really great to be able to celebrate together with the award winners their special success! They can be justifiably proud of themselves and their projects, which show an excellent cross-section of current design developments! We too are proud and at the same time very grateful for the trust our participants have placed in us for seven decades. This year alone, we have been able to attract ten percent more participants than in 2022, especially from Germany, the USA and other European countries. With this design gala, we would like to close a very successful iF DESIGN AWARD year – and at the same time start the new award year! We are excited and look forward to the next innovations!
