Celebrating design-led innovation that is transforming our world for the better

World Design Talks: Social Impact

23 November 2021
8:30 – 10:00 AM EST

World Design Impact Prize™ (WDIP) is an initiative that highlights the creativity and ingenuity of designers everywhere working to address a variety of global issues. This year, nominated projects addressed issues such as maternal health, water scarcity, climate change, public safety and homelessness.

On 23 November 2021 from 8:30am – 10am EST, WDO hosted a 90-minute World Design Talks where we had the opportunity to hear from the three finalist projects JERRY: The Jerrycan Waterfilter,
My Safetipin and TRASHPRESSO and learn about how they are using design to make a difference in communities around the world.

This online event offered key perspectives from the project leads on the problems that their solutions aim to address and culminated with the announcement of the recipient of the World Design Impact Prize 2021 edition.
