From 23 to 26 March 2026, MIREA — Russian Technological University hosted the international forum Digital Design — CreativARTor, bringing together designers, IT experts, students, and researchers to explore trends at the intersection of creative industries and artificial intelligence. The forum’s packed programme spanned several days.
Day 1 featured keynote talks from leading design and AI experts, including faculty from the Computer Design Department of RTU MIREA and an exhibition of cutting-edge work: AI-generated images, examples of prompt engineering, digital collages and multimedia designs.
Day 2 featured hackathon finals, following qualifying rounds that began on 2 March 2026. Teams of designers and developers competed to build interface prototypes, produce AI-generated content and pitch future product concepts.
The jury evaluated entries for originality, technical execution, and real-world value. Participants presented and defended their projects during the 24 March 2026 final. The winners were awarded diplomas, valuable prizes, medals, and the signature CreativARTor statuettes, a symbol of professional recognition.
Day 3 hosted the academic and practical conference ‘Digital Aesthetics: Principles, Styles, Trends’, which covered content-generation algorithms and automation in design, ethical issues around the use of neural networks and user experience optimization methods, and trends in interactive media.
Day 4 wrapped up with awards for the best projects and conference entries, as well as for the most promising research works.
Experts at the forum noted the high overall quality of the submissions and highlighted the format’s value for education and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
