To celebrate World Industrial Design Day, WDO brought together designers, educators, innovators and thought leaders to explore how design is driving resilience across the globe. Through a series of virtual conversations and reflections, let’s talk resilience highlighted how designers are building resilience across a range of systems and scales, from climate action to design education and national policy.

To mark World Industrial Design Day, Diseñadores Bolivianos Asociados (DIBO), presented the second edition of its INSIGNIA exhibition on 18 June 2026, featuring works that explored the intersection of form, function, tradition and contemporary design.

Iran’s annual World Industrial Design Day gathering was held on 30 June at the historic Ein ad-Dowleh Mansion in Tehran. Organized by WIDD_Iran in collaboration with KarGoft, the 18th edition brought together designers, academics, students, and industry professionals to reflect on challenges facing Iran’s industrial design community and to strengthen professional dialogue and collaboration.
